About

A true multiplayer festival, the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec is the essential event of the Quebec gaming world, in all its forms and on every platform. Held annually in Montreal’s vibrant core, the Quartier des spectacles, this 15-day event is equal parts digital and physical, with a diverse program that’s unlike any other in the province.

Inaugurated in 2014, with the participation of almost 150,000 festivalgoers and around 20 exhibitors, the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec gathers in a single location; representatives of the gaming industry, its professionals, as well as gamers of all age. For the duration of the event, the Maisonneuve Boulevard becomes an incredible hub for Quebec board game designers both established and emerging (110,000 visitors last year) and a place of discovery like no other for fans of the genre. Among other highlights, the FQJR is inviting the greatest francophone Scrabble players to compete for the title of world champion. In the Complexe Desjardins, visitors of the Gaming Lounge (over 40,000 last year) will be welcomed by the major video game studios established in Montreal, as well as many start-ups that will benefit from unparalleled visibility. All in all, more than a hundred games will be available, free of charge, for festivalgoers to challenge their families and friends.

To top it all off, the organization of the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec has established many business links in a growing sector of the industry: video game competitions. In its inaugural year, the festival attracted over 2000 live spectators to its tournaments and shows. Having previously hosted the North-American qualifications of the ESWC (E-Sports World Cup), this year, Montreal is once again outdoing itself, and this time the Mondial des Jeux Loto-Quebec is inviting the whole world to our great city for the final rounds of this incomparable competition. Finally, our city is on the map for gaming competition shareholders – an unprecedented opportunity for its international positioning.
